Arrears Owed to the State of Michigan
Under certain circumstances, a case may qualify for arrearage discharge or reduction of arrears owed to the State of Michigan exclusive of Medical arrears. All persons who believe they may qualify would need to complete the request form (PDF) and return same to the Friend of the Court office along with all supporting documentation.
Arrears Owed to a Custodial Parent
If you are the recipient of support, do not receive state assistance, and wish to waive all or part of the support owed to you, you may complete the Arrearage Forgiveness / Request for Credit Order (PDF) form, sign in front of a notary public, and provide same to our office. A member of our staff will review the case and account and if appropriate, submit it to the Judge for entry of the order.
